Making dental crowns is a fascinating yet time-intensive service. We love educating our patients about dental topics, so we’ve put together this information for you to help you as you learn about how dental crowns are created. Please tell us if you have any extra inquiries about how dental crowns are created.
The process of fashioning dental crowns starts in our office, where Dr. Olaitan Okediji-Registe will make impressions and take measurements of your chompers using dental molds or imaging technology. Those measurements are sent to a dental lab where a technician will use the molds from Dr. Olaitan Okediji-Registe to form a second impression, which will be filled with tough, long-lasting materials that are heated to high temps to make them moldable. Once the chemicals have been set and cured within the second impression, the mold is broken apart and the crown is removed, ready to be sent to our office, where the process started.
Dr. Olaitan Okediji-Registe would be happy to catch up with you at their Chicago, Illinois, location soon; ring 312-280-0034 now to schedule your next visit with the Magnificent Mile Family Dental staff.
