Come in for a Dental Exam Today!

Posted .

Over 50 years ago, the only dental care was taken care of was the after care. This usually ended with many dental problems due to the fact no one was taking any preventative care, so most dentists ended up treating problems after they had already begun. People finally started figuring out they had better set up a dental exam system so their teeth could last for years to come.

Here at Magnificent Mile Family Dental, we strive to provide the dental care you need to prevent cavities, decay, and any other harmful agents. Even with dutiful dental cleaning at home, you still need to visit your dentist for a full cleaning and exam. This needs to happen twice a year in order to catch any infections ahead of time. Some people at a higher risk of dental disease need to come in every 3-4 months. This includes:

– Diabetics
– Women who are pregnant
– Smokers
– People more susceptible to cavities and plaque buildup
– Those with gum disease
– Those with a weak immune response to bacterial infection

If you have stress, are suffering from an illness, or taking certain medications that can affect your oral health, be sure to see your dentist for an exam. At your biannual visit, your dentist and hygienists will remove plaque buildup and apply a strong dosage of fluoride, as well as advising you on better ways to brush and floss.
